My first Thanksgiving

Today was Thanksgiving or you can also call it Turkey Day.
It is a big holiday in the US and it was my first Thanksgiving dinner. We all met at aunt Trishis house because she was the main cook for Thanksgiving. We all know that she is a very very good cook so I was excited to go. Before we went to Trishes we watched the Thanksgiving parade on the TV at home. The parade was 3hours long and I think we wachted more than 2hours of it.
After everybody was at Trishes it was time to cut the turkey!
We were a big group (I think nobody wanted to miss the good food) and we all sat on a big table. For our dinner we had: corn, homemade cranberry sauce, cranberry sauce, stuffing (one regular, one sausage) matched potato, carrots, pasta and meatballs (for the Italian people in our family), Kailbasi, Routabaga and of course the turkey!
Our desserts we had five pies and rasberry jello. I had a piece of the pumkin and apple pie and a piece of cheesecake.

We all were so full and I totally fallen in love with Thanksgiving!

So here for you some pictures:

I accept Rachel's Challenge

Today we had a Rachel's Challenge in Mid Valley and I have to say it got under my skin.
The story of the young girl Rachel Scott is more than amazing and sad. She was the first one killed in Columbine High School in 1999.
She knew that her life was only a short one and she inspired not only the people in her school, she inspired the people in the whole country. She wrote an essay about kindness and her dreams.  She helped people without expecting something.

A small and simply SMILE can bring joy and happiness to peole.

Broadway Play 'In the Heights'

'In the Heights' is a new off broadway play and it was playing in Scraton.
It was my first Play and it was awesome. Barb and I had a great time and I only can say if you have a chance to see this play it is worth it.
The songs, the dance and the actors  were great.

I found an artical about the Heights and I think this is perfect discription about the play.

"This 2008 Tony Award-winning Best Musical is a moving, funny, and uplifting new show about a community of hard-working immigrants seeking a better life and trying to find their place – their home – in their new country.  With a remarkable young cast, thrilling Tony® Award-winning dancing and a dynamic Tony® Award-winning score, In the Heights is an exhilarating journey into a vibrant Manhattan community – a place where the coffee is light and sweet, the windows are always open, and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music.   Experience the next chapter of the classic American story at the most joyous and exciting musical on Broadway."
