Merry Christmas

                                                 Merry Christmas or Frohe Weihnachten!
This Christmas was my first Christmas in the US. I have to admit it was unforgettable and                                   amazing.
It is okay, I gonna tell you how everything was and how it was to celebrate Christmas more on the 25th.

We had a Christmas/ Cocktail Party on Christmas Eve. Mom invited some friends and  family. I think we had 13 people over and it was so funny. Sherri made some soup, pasta and a delicious peanut pie. We also had salad, ham, cookies and a lot of fingerfood (Chickenwings, hot dogs, chicken fingers). Honestly I ate too much of the fingerfood and then I just had some soup because I was already so full. After a short break I ate some pie ( everybody knows I always can eat pie).

Our second fridge

On Christmas morning was time to exchange gifts. We had so many presents under our tree and it was great to see the smile on moms and dads face when they opened their presents. I had a picture collage for dad with all the things we did together, like our first football game, puting wood on the truck in good clothes, Ocean City and Treducken dinner. I made for mom a blanket (all by myself) and I have to admit I still like the blanket so much!! Can not wait to have my own one done. I had some pictures from Prom, Yearbook picture and  a picture of our first Christmas. I wrote for each a Christmas card and that was the reason why I made almost  mom and dad cry. Then I opened my gifts. I got a wonderful necklace with my initial and a heart. The story to this is that when I go come I gonna take a piece of their hearts with me. I totally love it. And I also had some German gifts under the tree. Thanks guys for all your gifts!
After the gift opening we had our Christmas breakfast. Delicious!!
We watched some Christmas movies. One of the tradition is to watch 'It's a wonderful Life' and I have to say it is a very nice movie and it doesn't matter that the movie is a very old movie. Still a good one!
Sherri and Mike came over and we laughed and had some fun together.
My own friendly bird!! Thanks Lins!!

Our Christmas tree with all the presents.

"Snowy Night" Jr./ Sr. Prom

Here comes finally a short summary of the amazing night.

So the Jr./Sr. Prom started at 5pm but James, Lins, Matt and me got together before for some pictures. Then we drove to Allisons for some more pictures. After all the pictures that were taken our faces hurt from the smily faces, haha.
It was freezing  outside and of course my hand turned in a light blue. So like in Germany everybody laughed, but it really was cold.

We took more  pictures and after that we had dinner. The dinner was really good and the desserts were delicious except for one. James and I shared the desserts so we could try more than one of it. I don't know what the one was but it really was weird (it was James pick, haha)
After dinner the dance started. We danced, and danced and danced. We might had only a few water breaks but after them we went back on the dance floor. Of course they played more of a rock song and as you know me I played air guitar. The photograph took a picture of me playing (I think the best air guitar ever). Now everybody trys to get the picture but I hope it gets lost.

After the Prom was over we went to Lindseys. But before we stopped at James's house so he could change his clothes for some more 'Just Dance 3' dancing. I wanted to be nice because he forgot his glass in the car but apparently if the car is locked and you open them you set the car alarm on. So consider that it was around 10.30 and I opened the car door you can now see how Lins, Matt and me were laughing in the car. James came out his house with his shirt in his hands and set the alarm on accident on again. I was laughing so badly that I was more dying than everything else. After we woke probably everybody up we went to Lindsey and played 'Just Dance 3' and ate some pizza.

Like you can read here I had an amazing time  and I can not wait for semi in feburary.
Thanks again to everybody who went with me to the prom and made this night unforgettable!

It's the best Day of the Year

Today is the BEST day of the whole year. It is my birthday!!
Now I am an 17 years old  and a old woman. I think now I can say ' Ooh in my age it is normal to forget some things'.
It is my first birthday away from home and I have to say it was a very very nice one. It began that in school I not only got 'happy birthday' in English I also got it French, German (it was almost perfect from Lindsey 'Alles Gute zum Geburtstag'), Swedish (we tryed), Italian, Spanish, Polish and Lins showed me Chinese.
Than my history class sang 'Happy Birthday' ..

After school my parents took me for dinner in a very very nice restaurant. I orderd Chicken Marsalla with pasta as a side dish! The bowl of pasta was so hugh and I ate and ate and ate and still I couldn't see the bottom of it.
Then I got my birthday cake and of course my mom arranged it that they sing for me! I was very happy that the restaurant wasn't the restaurant where you have to wear a lobster hat.

The cake was soo delicious and I think we have left overs for the next two days.

Everybody thank you so much! I had a wonderful day and I will never forget it! Also of course thank you to everybody from home how send me awesome birthday wishes.

My cake

You can see how big the bowl is

You have to enjoy it, you will only get one time 17!
